DHAKA: The Bangladesh Bank on Monday directed all banks to allow new Bangladeshis, previously enclave people, to open bank accounts by depositing Tk 10 only to improve their lives.

A circular signed by Nurun Nahar, General Manager of Financial Inclusion Department of the central bank, made the disclosure.

The circular has already been sent to all CEOs of commercials banks.

It also orders not to take any service charge for maintaining the accounts.
