DHAKA: Share price indices at the country’s both bourses -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- slipped in early hours of trading on Thursday, the last trading day of the week.
DSEX, the prime index of the DSE, went down by 11.52 points or 0.23 per cent to 4862.43 after the first two-hour of trade at 12:32pm.
Trade deals stood at 73550 with volume of transactions at Tk 3508.64 million.
Of the issues traded till then, 131 advanced, 137 declined and 48 remained unchanged.
UPGDCL was the most traded stocks with shares worth Tk 246.39 million changing hands till then followed by ISLAMIBANK, UNITEDAIR, ORIONINFU, BENGALWTL and LAFSURCEML.
The port city bourse – Chittagong Stocks Exchange (CSE) – also witnessed downward trend in early hours with its Selective Category Index losing 24.92 points to 9078.21, also at 12:34pm.
Of the issues traded till then, 94 gained, 104 declined and 34 remained unchanged.
