DHAKA: Investors witnessed minor fall in benchmark indices of the country’s bourses -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) --on Thursday.
DSEX, the key index of DSE, shed over 9.51 points only to stand at 4864.45 at the close on the last trading day of the week.
Trade deals stood at 151132 with volume of transactions at Tk 6885.43 million.
Of the issues traded, 144 advanced, 134 declined and 43 remained unchanged.
UPGDCL topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 372.58 million having changed hands.
The other turnover leaders were ISLAMIBANK, LAFSURCEML, UNITEDAIR, BENGALWTL, SQURPHARMA, BXPHARMA, BEXIMCO, ORIONINFU and DELTALIFE.
Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing down to 9079.96 by dropping over 23.17 points.
Out of the issues traded, 109 gained, 117 declined and 39 remained unchanged.
