DHAKA: Investors witnessed fall in benchmark indices of the country’s bourses-- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- on Sunday, the first trading day of the week.
DSEX, the Broad Index of DSE, shed over 20.09 points only to stand at 4844.35 at the close of day’s trading.
Trade deals stood at 156225 with volume of transactions at Tk 6734.70 million.
Of the issues traded, 112 advanced, 169 declined and 39 remained unchanged.
UPGDCL topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 569.06 million having changed hands.
The other turnover leaders were LAFSURCEML, ACI, BSCCL, SPCL, UNITEDAIR, BSRMLTD, SQURPHARMA, RSRMSTEEL and IFADAUTOS.
Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing down to 9055.19 by dropping over 24.76 points.
Out of the issues traded, 101 gained, 128 declined and 25 remained unchanged.
