DHAKA: Investors witnessed minor fall in benchmark indices of the country’s bourses-- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- on Thursday.
DSEX, the key index of DSE, shed over 12.75 points only to stand at 4808.87 at the close on the last trading day of the week.
Trade deals stood at 136350 with volume of transactions at Tk 6032.44 million.
Of the issues traded, 109 advanced, 173 declined and 39 remained unchanged.
ISLAMIBANK topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 428.73 million having changed hands.
The other turnover leaders were FAMILYTEX, UPGDCL, RSRMSTEEL, BSRMLTD, SPCL, APOLOISPAT, LAFSURCEML, BENGALWTL and FARCHEM.
Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing down to 9000.08 by dropping over 17.95 points.
Out of the issues traded, 90 gained, 119 declined and 46 remained unchanged.
