DHAKA: Investors witnessed fall in benchmark indices of the country’s bourses -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- on Sunday.
DSEX, the key index of DSE, shed over 25.06 points only to stand at 4783.80 at the close on the first trading day of the week.
Trade deals stood at 123263 with volume of transactions at Tk 5334.04 million.
Of the issues traded, 80 advanced, 202 declined and 38 remained unchanged.
SPCL topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 321.01 million having changed hands.
The other turnover leaders were SQURPHARMA, RSRMSTEEL, ISLAMIBANK, UPGDCL, CENTRALPHL, BSRMLTD, AL-HAJTEX, FARCHEM and EMERALDOIL.
Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing down to 8949.83 by dropping over 50.24 points.
Out of the issues traded, 56 gained, 158 declined and 35 remained unchanged.
