DHAKA: Share price indices at the country’s both bourses -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) – witnessed positive trend in early hours of trading on Thursday, the last trading day of the week.
DSEX, the prime index of the DSE, gained by 5.70 points or 0.40 per cent to 4822.68 after the first two-hour of trade at 12:24pm.
Trade deals stood at 53685 with volume of transactions at Tk 2500.19 million.
Of the issues traded till then, 126 advanced, 121 declined and 53 remained unchanged.
LAFSURCEML was the most traded stocks with shares worth Tk 218.19 million changing hands till then followed by SQURPHARMA, BBS, CNATEX, ISLAMIBANK and MITHUNKNIT.
The port city bourse – Chittagong Stocks Exchange (CSE) – also witnessed positive trend in early hour with its Selective Category Index losing 10.59 points to 9001.66, also at 12:21pm.
Of the issues traded till then, 84 gained, 86 declined and 30 remained unchanged.
