DHAKA: Both two bourses of the country -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- witnessed downward trend in share-price indices on Monday.
DSEX, the prime index of DSE, shed over 37.71 points only to stand at 4793.99 at the close on the second trading day of the week.
Trade deals stood at 95908 with volume of transactions at Tk 3993.49 million.
Of the issues traded, 68 advanced, 211 declined and 40 remained unchanged.
SPCL topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 249.50 million having changed hands.
The other turnover leaders were SQURPHARMA, ISLAMIBANK, LAFSURCEML, UPGDCL, APEXFOODS, QSMDRYCELL, BXPHARMA, GP and RSRMSTEEL.
Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing down to 8956.98 by dropping over 64.62 points.
Out of the issues traded, 43 gained, 169 declined and 31 remained unchanged.
