DHAKA: Share price indices at the country’s both bourses -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- slipped in early hours of trading on Sunday, the first trading day of the week.
DSEX, the prime index of the DSE, went down by 14.41 points or 0.29 per cent to 4798.40 after the first one and half-hour of trade at 11:54am.
Trade deals stood at 29567 with volume of transactions at Tk 1100.75 million.
Of the issues traded till then, 78 advanced, 151 declined and 51 remained unchanged.
TITASGAS was the most traded stocks with shares worth Tk 113.19 million changing hands till then followed by SQURPHARMA, UPGDCL, SPCL, BARKAPOWER and JMISMDL.
The port city bourse – Chittagong Stocks Exchange (CSE) – also witnessed downward trend in early hour with its Selective Category Index losing 31.25 points to 8939.35, also at 11:50am.
Of the issues traded till then, 44 gained, 105 declined and 26 remained unchanged.
