DHAKA: Bangladesh Bank (BB) has become partner of a 2-day UK-Bangladesh e-commerce fair that will kick off on November 13 at the Atrium in London for the second time.
ICT division, posts, telecommunication and information technology ministry, Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority and Computer Jagat are jointly organizing the event.
E-banking or m-manking zone will be set up in the expo-ground under the leadership of the central bank for second time where different commercials institutions will showcase several things including payment gateway, mobile wallet, credit and debit cards, money transfer, etc.
Besides, BB will arrange a seminar to highlight many aspects of banking including online banking service in country and payment gateway.
The partnership program, held at BB head office on August 25, was attended by BB Payment System Department GM M Abdul Wadud, DGM M Delwar Hossian Khan, Joint Director Khandakar Ali Kamran Al Jahid and Computer Jagat CEO M Abdul Wahed Tomal and among others.
More than 100 exhibitors and service providers from Bangladesh and Europe will participate in the fair where 25 percent are to be top management and decision makers.
E-services (govt. service, e-education, e-health etc.); e-banking and m-banking, telecom services like VoIP, VAS, mobile apps, e-tourism and travel (hotels & airlines), software & server solution (e-commerce website development, banking solution etc), delivery services, fashion house, real estate and other service providers will take part at the fair.
The first UK-Bangladesh e-commerce fair was held in September-2013 in London.
