DSE, CSE down at opening

DHAKA: Share price indices at the country’s both bourses -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- slipped in early hours of trading on Wednesday.
   
DSEX, the prime index of the DSE, went down by 9.21 points or 0.19 per cent to 4775.24 after the first one-hour of trade at 11:18am.

Trade deals stood at 18375 with volume of transactions at Tk 706.79 million.

Of the issues traded till then, 114 advanced, 111 declined and 46 remained unchanged.

AMANFEED was the most traded stocks with shares worth Tk 58.38 million changing hands till then followed by UNITEDAIR, LANKABAFIN, EMERALDOIL and ORIONINFU.

The port city bourse – Chittagong Stocks Exchange (CSE) – also witnessed downward trend in early hour with its Selective Category Index losing 8.61 points to 8893.17, also at 11:16am.

Of the issues traded till then, 52 gained, 73 declined and 22 remained unchanged.
