Stocks witness fall Wednesday

DHAKA:  Investors witnessed minor fall in benchmark indices of the country’s bourses on Wednesday, the fourth trading day of the week.

DSEX, the key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, shed over 26.02 points only to stand at 4758.43 at the close of day’s trading

Trade deals stood at 104178 with volume of transactions at Tk 4157.31 million.

Of the issues traded, 113 advanced, 171 declined and 36 remained unchanged.

SQURPHARMA topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 218.83 million having changed hands.



The other turnover leaders were GP, AMANFEED, UNITEDAIR, EMERALDOIL, LANKABAFIN, HEIDELBCEM, IDLC, LAFSURCEML and ORIONINFU

Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing down to 8865.32 by dropping over 36.46 points.
 
Out of the issues traded, 85 gained, 137 declined and 38 remained unchanged.
