DSE, CSE witness fall Wednesday

DHAKA: Investors witnessed minor fall in benchmark indices of the country’s bourses on Wednesday, the fourth trading day of the week.

DSEX, the key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, shed over 4.99 points only to stand at 4796.81 at the close of day’s trading.

Trade deals stood at 101436 with volume of transactions at Tk 4274.15 million.

Of the issues traded, 108 advanced, 166 declined and 46 remained unchanged.

UNITEDAIR topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 243.80 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were ISLAMIBANK, BSRMLTD, BSRMSTEEL, QSMDRYCELL, BXPHARMA, IFADAUTOS, APOLOISPAT, AMANFEED and UPGDCL.

Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing down to 8939.22 by dropping over 5.49 points.
 
Out of the issues traded, 84 gained, 130 declined and 32 remained unchanged.
