DHAKA: Share price indices at the country’s both bourses -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) – witnessed upward trend in early hours of trading on Thursday.
DSEX, the prime index of the DSE, gained by 13.63 points or 0.28 per cent to 4810.45 after the first one and half hour of trade at 12:11pm.
Trade deals stood at 41936 with volume of transactions at Tk 2134.47 million.
Of the issues traded till then, 153 advanced, 89 declined and 55 remained unchanged.
UPGDCL was the most traded stocks with shares worth Tk 161.49 million changing hands till then followed by BXPHARMA, BSRMSTEEL, AMANFEED, IFADAUTOS and QSMDRYCELL.
The port city bourse – Chittagong Stocks Exchange (CSE) – also witnessed positive trend in early hour with its Selective Category Index losing 18.42 points to 8957.65, also at 12:10pm.
Of the issues traded till then, 80 gained, 63 declined and 42 remained unchanged.
