DHAKA: Investors witnessed gain in the benchmark indices of the country’s bourses --Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- on Sunday, the first trading day of the week.
DSEX, the key index of DSE, rose over 11.23 points to stand at 4830.68 at the close of day’s trading.
Trade deals stood at 94905 with transaction at Tk 4180.23 million. Of the issues traded, 133 advanced, 145 declined and 38 remained unchanged.
IFADAUTOS topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 183.51 million having changed hands.
The other turnover leaders were ISLAMIBANK, BSRMSTEEL, BXPHARMA, UPGDCL, AMANFEED, FARCHEM, BSRMLTD, APOLOISPAT and SAPORTL.
Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing up to 9007.48 by gaining over 21.00 points.
Out of the issues traded, 111 gained, 105 declined and 27 remained unchanged.
