DHAKA: Share price indices at the country’s both bourses -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- gained in early hours of trading on Tuesday.
DSEX, the prime index of the DSE, rose over 1.26 points or 0.02 per cent to 4842.88 after the first one-hour of trade at 11:48am.
Trade deals stood at 26526 with volume of transactions at Tk 1099.01 million.
Of the issues traded till then, 115 advanced, 111 declined and 53 remained unchanged.
KPCL was the most traded stocks with shares worth Tk 75.43 million changing hands till then followed by BSRMSTEEL, UNITEDAIR, BXPHARMA, RAKCERAMIC and QSMDRYCELL.
The port city bourse – Chittagong Stocks Exchange (CSE) – also witnessed downward trend in early hour with its Selective Category Index losing 10.14 points to 9028.24, also at 11:46am.
Of the issues traded till then, 63 gained, 58 declined and 42 remained unchanged.
