Stocks end lower Wednesday

DHAKA: Country's stock market marked fall in its price indices on Wednesday.

DSEX, the key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, shed over 1.09 points only to stand at 4852.08 at the close of day’s trading.

Trade deals stood at 106505 with volume of transactions at Tk 4953.48 million.

Of the issues traded, 125 advanced, 151 declined and 44 remained unchanged.



GP topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 238.54 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were SAIFPOWER, SQURPHARMA, ISLAMIBANK, FARCHEM, BSRMSTEEL, APOLOISPAT, BXPHARMA, IDLC and LANKABAFIN.

Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing down to 9035.12 by dropping over 11.21 points.
 
Out of the issues traded, 87 gained, 127 declined and 34 remained unchanged.
