DHAKA: Share price indices at the country’s both bourses -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- slipped in early hours of trading on Monday.
DSEX, the prime index of the DSE, went down 16.78 points or 0.34 per cent to 4797.82 after the first one-hour of trade at 11:42am.
Trade deals stood at 23917 with volume of transactions at Tk 1057.15 million.
Of the issues traded till then, 69 advanced, 163 declined and 46 remained unchanged.
GP was the most traded stocks with shares worth Tk 59.31 million changing hands till then followed by FARCHEM, IDLC, SAIFPOWER, BRACBANK and LAFSURCEML.
The port city bourse – Chittagong Stocks Exchange (CSE) – also witnessed downward trend in early hour with its Selective Category Index losing 50.65 points to 8933.17, also at 11:40am.
Of the issues traded till then, 29 gained, 114 declined and 20 remained unchanged.
