Stocks end lower Wednesday

DHAKA: Country's stock market marked fall in its price indices on Wednesday, the fourth trading day of the week.

DSEX, the key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), shed over 32.70 points only to stand at 4800.62 at the close of day’s trading.

Trade deals stood at 91382 with volume of transactions at Tk 3976.94 million.

Of the issues traded, 102 advanced, 185 declined and 34 remained unchanged.



BXPHARMA topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 219.32 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were FARCHEM, GP, LAFSURCEML, BRACBANK, SQURPHARMA, OLYMPIC, BSRMSTEEL, SPCL and BEXIMCO.

Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) Selective Categories Index climbing down to 8956.21 by dropping over 64.71 points.
 
Out of the issues traded, 83 gained, 148 declined and 18 remained unchanged.
