DHAKA: Investors witnessed significant fall in benchmark indices of the country’s bourses on Sunday, the first trading day of the week.
DSEX, the key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, shed over 53.23 points only to stand at 4728.12 at the close of day’s trading.
Trade deals stood at 89651 with volume of transactions at Tk 3384.84 million.
Of the issues traded, 60 advanced, 231 declined and 27 remained unchanged.
LAFSURCEML topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 230.17 million having changed hands.
The other turnover leaders were BXPHARMA, MHSML, GP, FARCHEM, SQURPHARMA, TRUSTBANK, SAIFPOWER, IDLC and BSRMLTD.
Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing down to 8804.27 by dropping over 108.93 points.
Out of the issues traded, 38 gained, 178 declined and 23 remained unchanged.
