DHAKA: Share price indices at the country’s both bourses -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- gained in early hours of trading on Monday.
DSEX, the prime index of the DSE, rose over 22.99 points or 0.48 per cent to 4751.12 after the first one-hour of trade at 11: 50am.
Trade deals stood at 25370 with volume of transactions at Tk 1158.29 million.
Of the issues traded till then, 151 advanced, 75 declined and 62 remained unchanged.
OLYMPIC was the most traded stocks with shares worth Tk 79.30 million changing hands till then followed by BRACBANK, LAFSURCEML, BXPHARMA, TRUSTBANK and PREMIERCEM.
The port city bourse – Chittagong Stocks Exchange (CSE) – also witnessed downward trend in early hour with its Selective Category Index losing 60.53 points to 8864.816, also at 11:48am.
Of the issues traded till then, 102 gained, 37 declined and 20 remained unchanged.
