DHAKA: Bangladesh’s export earning has grown 0.83 percent year on year to $7.76-billion in the first quarter of the current 2015-2016 fiscal year.
The data provided by Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) on Monday showed that, of the total earnings, income from readymade garment (RMG) items stood at $6.44-billion during July-September of the current FY.
The EPB data showed that knitwear garment export plunged to $3,250.11-million, 0.62-percent, while woven garments export growth dipped to $3,189.12 million, 7.64-percent, than the first quarter of 2014-2015 FY.
The export income of the country earned $31.21-billion in the 2014-2015 FY.
Bangladesh set its export target at $33.50-billion in 2015-2016 FY.
