DHAKA: Investors witnessed significant fall in benchmark indices of the country’s bourses on Thursday, the last trading day of the week.
DSEX, the key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, shed over 39.45 points only to stand at 4676.62 at the close of day’s trading.
Trade deals stood at 104135 with volume of transactions at Tk 4044.92 million.
Of the issues traded, 98 advanced, 176 declined and 46 remained unchanged.
KDSALTD topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 457.70 million having changed hands.
The other turnover leaders were LAFSURCEML, BXPHARMA, GP, UNITEDAIR, AMANFEED, CVOPRL, BRACBANK, EMERALDOIL and CITYBANK.
Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing down to 8711.71 by dropping over 77.08 points.
Out of the issues traded, 65 gained, 132 declined and 31 remained unchanged.
