BENAPOLE (JESSORE): Export and import activities have resumed on Sunday at Benapole land port in Jessore district after a five day vacation on the occasion of Durga Puja and Ashura.
Benapole exporters and importers association vice-president Aminul Haque told banglanews that the activities that started at 10:00am are slower on the first day after vacation.
The situation will be normal after two or three days, he added.
Benapole checkpost customs cargo branch revenue official Abdul Zabbar said that as many as 40 Indian trucks entered Benapole land port from 10:00am to 10:30am and 20 trucks returned with Bangladeshi goods.
Benapole Landport director (Traffic) Nitai Chandra Sen told banglanews that they have asked the people concerned to load and unload swiftly as there was a congestion of containers at the port compound.
