Stocks end lower Monday

DHAKA: Country's stock market marked fall in its price indices on Monday, the second trading day of the week.

DSEX, the key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, shed over 18.70 points only to stand at 4630.57 at the close of day’s trading.

Trade deals stood at 98408 with volume of transactions at Tk 4154.62 million.

Of the issues traded, 117 advanced, 165 declined and 38 remained unchanged.



CVOPRL topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 157.09 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were LAFSURCEML, IFADAUTOS, SPCL, KDSALTD, CNATEX, GP, KPCL, AMANFEED     and EMERALDOIL.

Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing down to 8601.87 by dropping over 33.97 points.
 
Out of the issues traded, 92 gained, 103 declined and 32 remained unchanged.
