DSE recovers early fall

DHAKA: Trading on the country’s two bourses -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- is underway showing gain in share-price indices on Monday.

After early hours’ fall, DSE broad index, DSEX, rose over 9.78 points or 0.21 per cent to 4524.63 after the first one-hour of trade at 1:24pm.

Trade deals stood at 50723 with transaction at Tk 1777.13 million.

Of the issues traded, 133 advanced, 120 declined and 55 remained unchanged.

IFADAUTOS topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 219.80 million having changed hands during the time.

Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing up to 8411.00 by gaining over 23.60 points at 1:23pm.

Out of the issues traded, 76 gained, 104 declined and 26 remained unchanged.
