Remittance influx shrinks in October

DHAKA: In the fourth month of 2015-16 fiscal year the Bangladeshis residing and working abroad remitted around $108.76-crore which is $26.14-crore less than the earlier month.

The amount of remittance, however, is more than the October of earlier year. In October of 2014, the amount of remittance was $101.80-crore.

A latest data of Bangladesh Bank disclosed the matter on Monday.

It also said the influx of remittance in the first four months of current 2015-16 fiscal was $502.12-crore which was $0.79-crore less year on year.

The amount remitted in the first four months of 2014-15 fiscal was $502.91-crore.
