Stocks see fall Wednesday

DHAKA: Investors witnessed minor fall in benchmark indices of the country’s bourses on Wednesday, the fourth trading day of the week.

DSEX, the key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), shed over 40.20 points only to stand at 4511.31 at the close of day’s trading.

Trade deals stood at 78910 with volume of transactions at Tk 2901.10 million.

Of the issues traded, 70 advanced, 208 declined and 43 remained unchanged.

IFADAUTOS topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 191.86 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were KDSALTD, QSMDRYCELL, CNATEX, BSCCL, LAFSURCEML, BXPHARMA, TITASGAS, SQURPHARMA and ICB.

Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing down to 8395.70 by dropping over 72.46 points.
 
Out of the issues traded, 35 gained, 163 declined and 30 remained unchanged.
