DHAKA: Both the bourses started week on a negative note as investors witnessed significant fall in benchmark indices on Sunday, the first trading day of the week.
DSEX, the key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, shed over 59.01 points only to stand at 4443.14 at the close of day’s trading.
Trade deals stood at 89749 with volume of transactions at Tk 3147.17 million.
Of the issues traded, 64 advanced, 226 declined and 23 remained unchanged.
IFADAUTOS topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 251.18 million having changed hands.
The other turnover leaders were KDSALTD, SAIFPOWER, QSMDRYCELL, BSRMLTD, UPGDCL, BSRMSTEEL, LAFSURCEML, BXPHARMA and TITASGAS.
Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing down to 8275.05 by dropping over 92.80 points.
Out of the issues traded, 51 gained, 162 declined and 20 remained unchanged.
