G2G+ manpower export to Malaysia delayed

DHAKA: Export of manpower to Malaysia through G2G+ non-government organizations has been delayed.

The draft of memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the two countries, which was set to be placed to the cabinet meeting on Monday, was lifted at the last moment.

Cabinet secretary Mohammad Shafiul Alam informed the media after the meeting.

The draft was not placed to the cabinet as the issue has not been settled with the Malaysia counterpart yet, the secretary added.

Recently, a Malaysia delegation visited Bangladesh and expatriates’ welfare and overseas employment ministry official then told that the MoU would be sighed after getting cabinet approval.
