Stocks see gain after 6-day fall

DHAKA: Investors witnessed gain in the benchmark indices of the country’s bourses on Thursday, after six trading days’ negative trend.

DSEX, the key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, rose over 62.03 points to stand at 4433.57 at the close of the last trading day of the week.

Trade deals stood at 81266 with transaction at Tk 3043.76 million. Of the issues traded, 228 advanced, 54 declined and 31 remained unchanged.

TITASGAS topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 295.28 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were IFADAUTOS, BXPHARMA, BEXIMCO, SQURPHARMA, SAIFPOWER, QSMDRYCELL, KDSALTD, UNITEDAIR and AMANFEED.
 
Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing up to 8232.27 by gaining over 98.15 points.
 
Out of the issues traded, 153 gained, 47 declined and 20 remained unchanged.
