Stocks end lower Sunday

DHAKA: Country's stock market marked fall again in its price indices on Sunday, the first trading day of the week.

DSEX, the key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, shed over 9.36 points only to stand at 4424.20 at the close of day’s trading.

Trade deals stood at 70549 with volume of transactions at Tk 2218.50 million.

Of the issues traded, 108 advanced, 158 declined and 42 remained unchanged.

TITASGAS topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 149.54 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were BSRMLTD, QSMDRYCELL, OLYMPIC, SAIFPOWER, SPCL, KDSALTD, EMERALDOIL, LAFSURCEML and SQURPHARMA.

Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing down to 8228.52 by dropping over 3.74 points.
 
Out of the issues traded, 82 gained, 106 declined and 30 remained unchanged.
