DHAKA: A 250-million Le Méridien was formally inaugurated in city Sunday evening.
It was inaugurated through a press conference.
At the inaugural session, the hotel authorities said that all necessary materials were imported in constructing the hotel. Moreover, the higher price of land has totaled the expenditure at 250-million USD.
Le Méridien Dhaka proprietor and also Best Holding chairman Amin Mohammad said that they have taken all measures to keep the international standard of the hotel unhurt.
He also expressed his gratitude to Starwood Hotels and Resorts as a partner of the project.
Starwood Hotels and Resorts’ India managing director Dilip Puri said they are happy for the inauguration of Le Méridien in Dhaka.
He also made a disclosure saying that one more international standard hotel will be constructed in Bhaluka upazila of Mymensingh district.
‘This sort of hotels is needed in Bangladesh as its economy has been stepping forward for several years,’ Puri added.
The organizers have arranged the ‘First Night’ celebration program with the participation of as many as 500 guests.
However, Le Méridien Dhaka comprises 304 rooms, six restaurants, gyms and spa centers with various modern facilities.
