DHAKA: Share price indices at the country’s both bourses -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- gained in early hours of trading on Monday.
DSEX, the prime index of the DSE, rose over 50.08 points or 1.13 per cent to 4474.29 after the first one-hour of trade at 11:35am.
Trade deals stood at 30287 with volume of transactions at Tk 1229.97 million.
Of the issues traded till then, 214 advanced, 31 declined and 23 remained unchanged.
IFADAUTOS was the most traded stocks with shares worth Tk 237.23 million changing hands till then followed by BEXIMCO, KDSALTD, OLYMPIC, TITASGAS and SAIFPOWER.
The port city bourse – Chittagong Stocks Exchange (CSE) – also witnessed upward trend in early hour with its Selective Category Index losing 62.35 points to 8290.88, also at 11:32am.
Of the issues traded till then, 114 gained, 20 declined and 18 remained unchanged.
