DHAKA: Investors witnessed gain in the benchmark indices of the country’s bourses on Sunday, the first trading day of the week.

DSEX, the key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, rose over 1.43846 percent to stand at 4596.81339 at the close of day’s trading.

Trade deals stood at 113963 with transaction at Tk 4306.535 million. Of the issues traded, 235 advanced, 49 declined and 29 remained unchanged.

SAIFPOWER topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 236.7040 million having changed hands.



The other turnover leaders were IFADAUTOS, BXPHARMA, FARCHEM, AFCARGO, KDSALTD, SQURPHARMA, and BSRMSTEEL.
 
Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing up to 8500.2576 by gaining 83.5659 points.
 
Out of the issues traded, 160 gained, 43 declined and 31 remained unchanged.
