DHAKA: Share price indices at the country’s both bourses -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- gained in early hours of trading on Sunday.
DSEX, the prime index of the DSE, rose over 31.02 points or 0.67 per cent to 4627.84 after the first one-hour of trade at 11:33am.
Trade deals stood at 65761 with volume of transactions at Tk 2324.62 million.
Of the issues traded till then, 166 advanced, 62 declined and 46 remained unchanged.
SIMTEX was the most traded stocks with shares worth Tk 167.44 million changing hands till then followed by BXPHARMA, FARCHEM, OLYMPIC, UPGDCL and LAFSURCEML.
The port city bourse – Chittagong Stocks Exchange (CSE) – also witnessed downward trend in early hour with its Selective Category Index losing 104.17 points to 8604.43, also at 11:30am.
Of the issues traded till then, 120 gained, 35 declined and 17 remained unchanged.
