Saudi assures of more investment in Bangladesh

RIYADH: The Saudi Arabia government assured of more investment in Bangladesh and reopening of the Bangladesh-Saudi Industrial and Agricultural Investment Company.

Finance Minister Ibrahim Abdulaziz Al-Assaf of Saudi Arabia came up with this assertion while meeting with his Bangladesh counterpart Abul Maal Abdul Muhith at former’s office on Tuesday morning (local time).

Bangladesh Embassy in Riyadh deputy chief of the Mission M Nazrul Islam confirmed the matter to banglanews.

In the fruitful bilateral talks, the two ministers also discussed different important issues, including economy of the both countries.

Joint economic council meeting to be held in Bangladesh was also topic of the meeting, M Nazrul Islam added.

Bangladesh Ambassador for Saudi Arabia Golam Moshi, Economic councilor Abul Hasan, Economic Relations Department additional secretary M Selim Reza, personal secretary of finance minister Jakaria Haque, Finance ministry deputy secretary Hasan Khaled Faisal, executive assistant Shahed Muhit and FBCCI vice president Mahbubul Haque and Saudi high officials were present.

The minister is scheduled to attend a meeting with leaders invited by Riyadh Chamber on Tuesday evening (local time) and an agreement is to be signed with Islamic Development Bank (IDB) president in Jeddah Wednesday.
