Stocks witness fall Wednesday

DHAKA: Investors witnessed minor fall in benchmark indices of the country’s bourses on Wednesday, the fourth trading day of the week.

DSEX, the key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, shed over 6.04 points only to stand at 4568.01 at the close of day’s trading.

Trade deals stood at 103112 with volume of transactions at Tk 3878.41 million.

Of the issues traded, 114 advanced, 153 declined and 51 remained unchanged.

IFADAUTOS topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 186.29 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were KDSALTD, ALARABANK, SAIFPOWER, BXPHARMA, SQURPHARMA, TITASGAS, FARCHEM and AFCAGRO.

Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing down to 8491.38 by dropping over 15.28 points.
 
Out of the issues traded, 84 gained, 128 declined and 28 remained unchanged.
