DHAKA: Investors witnessed gain in the benchmark indices of the country’s bourses --Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- on Sunday, the first trading day of the week.
DSEX, the key index of DSE, rose over 13.70 points to stand at 4654.74 at the close of day’s trading.
Trade deals stood at 134327 with transaction at Tk 5576.26 million. Of the issues traded, 178 advanced, 105 declined and 38 remained unchanged.
QSMDRYCELL topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 254.99 million having changed hands.
The other turnover leaders were BSRMSTEEL, SQURPHARMA, MICEMENT, DELTALIFE, SAIFPOWER, BXPHARMA, KDSALTD, KPCL and SUMITPOWER.
Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing up to 8664.09 by gaining over 12.36 points.
Out of the issues traded, 140 gained, 70 declined and 37 remained unchanged.
