DHAKA: Exports of Bangladesh has risen 13.73 percent, worth $2.75 billion, in November from a year earlier due to stronger sales of ready made garment (RMG) products.
The Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) said that exports in the first five months (from July to November) of 2015-16FY, rose 6.7 percent to $12.88 billion from the earlier year.
The total amount of sales of RMG products that include knitwear and woven items was $10.46 billion in July-to-November compared with $9.69 billion in the first five months of 2014-15FY.
Bangladesh is the world’s second-largest apparel exporter after China.
