Bourses see deflation at opening

DHAKA: Investors observed fall in benchmark indices of the country’s bourses in the opening hours on Thursday (February 25), the fourth trading day of the week, as Sunday was holiday for Amar Ekushey.

DSEX, the key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, shed over 5.94 points or 0.12 percent to stand at 4573.57 at 11:42am
 
Trade deals stood at 27630 with volume of transactions at Tk 1193.05 million.

Of the issues traded, 98 advanced, 119 declined and 68 remained unchanged.

LANKABAFIN topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 326.27 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were QSMDRYCELL, United Air, Beximco Pharma and Singer Bangladesh.

Chittagong stocks also following the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing down to 8598.61 by dropping over 10.38 points.

Out of the issues traded, 58 gained, 74 declined and 22 remained unchanged with a total turnover amount of over Tk 81.16 million till 11:36am.
