Dhaka: Supply of winter vegetables has been increased in markets triggering a fall of inflation rate in November.
Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics (BBS) updated information showed that inflation rate has been decreased to 6.05%.
However, it rate was 6.19% in October.
Planning minister AHM Mustafa Kamal revealed this information at meet the press at NEC conference room at Sher-e-Bangla Nagar in city on Wednesday (December 9).
The BBS information disclosed that the inflation rate in food products is 5.72% while it was 5.89 in past month.
The minister also claimed that winter vegetables are available in markets in lower prices.
“Moreover, prices of food items in world market have gradually been decreased. It has an impact in our country leading to the fall of inflation rate,” he added.
