DHAKA: Investors witnessed significant fall in benchmark indices of the country’s bourses on Sunday, the first trading day of the week.
DSEX, the broad index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), shed over 40.68 points only to stand at 4542.73 at the close of day’s trading.
Trade deals stood at 81069 with volume of transactions at Tk 2741.61 million.
Of the issues traded, 62 advanced, 221 declined and 37 remained unchanged.
SQURPHARMA topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 155.88 million having changed hands.
The other turnover leaders were BXPHARMA, DELTALIFE, QSMDRYCELL, BSRMSTEEL, AFTABAUTO, LAFSURCEML, FARCHEM, RENATA and KDSALTD.
Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing down to 8448.91 by dropping over 56.13 points.
Out of the issues traded, 45 gained, 174 declined and 29 remained unchanged.
