Stocks start week negative

DHAKA: Country's stock market marked fall in its price indices on Sunday, the first trading day of the week.

DSEX, the key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, shed over 5.80 points only to stand at 4602.51 at the close of day’s trading.

Trade deals stood at 94804 with volume of transactions at Tk 3333.13 million.

Of the issues traded, 107 advanced, 172 declined and 42 remained unchanged.
 

 
BEXIMCO topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 154.08 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were BXPHARMA, DELTALIFE, EMERALDOIL, QSMDRYCELL, ACI, KPCL, AFTABAUTO, KDSALTD and SINGERBD.

Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing down to 8541.78 by dropping over 8.28 points.
 
Out of the issues traded, 74 gained, 126 declined and 34 remained unchanged.
