Manpower export increased by 30%

DHAKA: More than 5 lakh Bangladeshi workers have migrated in the year of 2015.

According to this information, country’s manpower export has increased by 30% compared to the past year.

Similarly, the flow of sending remittance has increased by 1.8%.

Refugee and Migratory Movements Research Unit (RAMMRU) revealed the information at National Press Club in city on Sunday (December 27).

The RAMMRU chairman Dr Tasneem Siddique made this disclosure during the publication of a research report titled, ‘Nature of International Labor Migration 2015: Success and Challenge’.

The RAMMRU annual report also unveiled that as many as 538,657 Bangladeshi workers migrated by December 22 in 2015.

Compared to 2013, the increase in labor migration is 35% as 425,684 Bangladeshi workers left the country in 2014.
