DHAKA: The cabinet on Monday gave its approval to an air transport accord saying that Bangladesh and USA governments will sign a deal with the view to establish direct flights between the two countries.
Cabinet secretary Mohammad Shafiul Alam disclosed the matter to journalists after the meeting.
He further said the accord titled ‘Air Agreement Transport Between the Government of the United States of America and the Government of People’s Republic of Bangladesh’ would ensure the number of passenger and cargo flights.
Besides, the cabinet also gave its approval to Jute Act-2016, Shafiul Alam added.
