Stocks end week negative

DHAKA: Country's stock market marked fall in its price indices on Thursday, the last trading day of the week.

DSEX, the key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, shed over 3.72 points only to stand at 4676.08 at the close of day’s trading.

Trade deals stood at 143642 with volume of transactions at Tk 6434.28 million.

Of the issues traded, 147 advanced, 134 declined and 41 remained unchanged.



UPGDCL topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 417.60 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were BEXIMCO, BXPHARMA, AFTABAUTO, KPCL, SUMITPOWER, IFADAUTOS, KDSALTD, BDTHAI and POWERGRID.

Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing down to 8685.31 by dropping over 3.06 points.
 
Out of the issues traded, 100 gained, 99 declined and 40 remained unchanged.
