DSE, CSE up at opening

DHAKA: Share price indices at the country’s both bourses -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- gained in early hours of trading on Sunday.
   
DSEX, the broad index of the DSE, rose over 17.97 points or 0.38 per cent to 4694.05 after the first one-hour of trade at 11:39am.

Trade deals stood at 46788 with volume of transactions at Tk 1953.43 million.

Of the issues traded till then, 129 advanced, 80 declined and 66 remained unchanged.

UPGDCL was the most traded stocks with shares worth Tk 174.80 million changing hands till then followed by      ITC, MJLBD, BDTHAI, EMERALDOIL and KPCL.

The port city bourse – Chittagong Stocks Exchange (CSE) – also witnessed upward trend in early hour with its Selective Category Index gaining 18.24 points to 8703.55, also at 11:36am.

Of the issues traded till then, 82 gained, 49 declined and 26 remained unchanged.
