DSE, CSE up at opening

DHAKA: Share price indices at the country’s both bourses -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- gained in early hours of trading on Wednesday.
   
DSEX, the prime index of the DSE, rose over 27.66 points or 0.59 per cent to 4693.10 after the first one-hour of trade at 11:11am.

Trade deals stood at 34382 with volume of transactions at Tk 1571.84 million.

Of the issues traded till then, 192anced, 28 declined and 37 remained unchanged.

UPGDCL was the most traded stocks with shares worth Tk 81.14 million changing hands till then followed by      POWERGRID, BEXIMCO, FARCHEM, EMERALDOIL and BBS.

The port city bourse – Chittagong Stocks Exchange (CSE) – also witnessed upward trend in early hour with its Selective Category Index gaining 42.89 points to 8725.98, also at 11:10am.

Of the issues traded till then, 103 gained, 12 declined and 17 remained unchanged.
