DSE, CSE witnessing fall

DHAKA: Trading on the country’s two bourses -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- is underway with downward trend of share-price indices on Sunday.

DSEX, the Dhaka Stock Exchange Broad Index, shed over 14.35 points to stand at 4680.5 after the second one and half hour of trade at 1:55pm.

Trade deals stood at 101297 with volume of transactions at Tk 3910.58 million.

Of the issues traded, 98 advanced, 179 declined and 40 remained unchanged.



EMERALDOIL topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 336.20 million having changed hands.

Following the suit, the Chittagong Stock Exchange Selective Categories Index (CSCX) climbed down to 8706.48 by dropping over 31.34 points at about 1:49pm.

Out of the issues traded, 72 gained, 133 declined and 30 remained unchanged.
